Elegant Indian Wedding & Reception at an Italian Castle: A Magical Celebration in Italy
Dhara and Keval chose to hold their wedding ceremony in the late afternoon—not only to enjoy a leisurely morning but also to take advantage of the breathtaking golden-hour lighting. The castle offered many stunning backdrops for romantic photos, but the ceremony garden was the most panoramic of all, overlooking the rolling hills and the picturesque medieval village in the distance.
Dhara and Keval wanted the Mandap to blend seamlessly with the lush greenery of the surroundings, so they opted for a minimalist structure without fabric draping—just abundant greenery and flowers in shades of pink, orange, and peach. The ceremony setup was stunning, complete with a grand green entrance arch and a beautifully placed statue of Lord Ganesh welcoming guests. The parents’ seats were upholstered in green, harmonizing with the floral tones of the event. Even the ceremony programs, personalized fans, and individual seating tags were all carefully coordinated to match the wedding’s color scheme.
Dhara looked breathtaking in a vibrant orange lehenga, radiating beauty with her soft and elegant bridal look. Keval wore a refined cream-colored outfit and made his grand baraat entrance in a vintage red Alfa Romeo. Our trusted dhol player led the joyful procession. As always, he engaged all the guests in the lively parade, enhanced by bursts of colorful smoke bombs. The atmosphere was incredibly festive, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the moment.
When the ceremony began, Keval was visibly emotional as he saw his bride for the first time. It was an incredibly romantic and tender moment. The ceremony was nothing short of magical, perfectly framed by the natural beauty of the venue. After the ceremony, the guests were seated for the wedding dinner in the castle’s grand hall, which exuded historic charm and character. Since the couple wanted to celebrate their love for Italy, they opted for an entirely Italian menu across all their events.
Following dinner, guests moved up to the castle’s pool terrace for traditional wedding games, dancing, and a relaxed after-party featuring Italy’s finest wines. Speaking of wine, a special mention is needed—Dhara and Keval are true wine connoisseurs. For them, the wine selection process was even more important than the menu tasting. A few months after their initial tasting, the castle changed its wine supplier, prompting the couple to have a shipment of bottles sent to London so they could personally sample and select new wine pairings for each event.
The second evening concluded beautifully, with guests enjoying music, laughter, and the perfect fusion of Italian elegance and Indian tradition.
A Harmonious Blend of Indian Traditions and Italian Elegance in a Stunning Wedding Reception in Italy
Dhara and Keval decided to have only one event per day, so they could also enjoy moments of relaxation with their guests. Their Indian wedding reception took place on the third and final day of their celebrations in Italy. A beautiful setup was arranged in the castle’s main courtyard, offering a panoramic view of the Umbrian hills, under a roof of fairy lights that made everything even more magical. They chose long imperial tables to seat their guests. We decorated them with lush greenery, a touch of white gypsophila, and candles to create a warm glow. Bride and groom’s top table featured a more elaborate arrangement with a stunning composition of white roses and eucalyptus leaves, along with clusters of candles on the ground.
The stationery was simple yet classy, with menu cards tied to the napkins using a white satin ribbon and a small olive branch to complement the décor. The overall setup, though seemingly simple at first glance, was incredibly impactful. It blended seamlessly with the surrounding nature and highlighted the beauty of the castle’s ancient walls.
For this final and most significant event, the bride chose a breathtaking light blue dress with white embroidery, fit for a Disney princess, while the groom opted for a classic yet modern black tuxedo. As the sun set and the couple posed for their photoshoot, guests were welcomed with refreshing cocktails and a variety of Italian appetizers,
including local specialties, on another terrace of the castle located at a lower level. From there, they could admire the stunning sunset while listening to the soft melodies of a string duo. After the photo and video session during which they were joined by family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen—the newlyweds made their entrance during the cocktail hour, as they wanted to mingle with their guests and enjoy that breathtaking sunset.
Everyone then moved to the main courtyard, where the parents made their entrances, followed by the couple’s second grand entrance. The cake cutting and a toast with their guests marked the next highlight of the evening.
A delicious Italian dinner was served, accompanied by excellent wine personally selected by the couple, while heartfelt speeches from friends and family took place throughout the meal. The emotional first dance of the newlyweds officially opened the dance floor, inviting everyone to join for an unforgettable party. Naturally, no one wanted the night to end at this stunning Indian wedding reception in Italy. So, after midnight, the celebration moved into a glass hall of the castle, allowing guests to continue dancing late into the night.
It was undoubtedly the perfect culmination of these three incredible days of events—memories that we, the couple, and all their guests will cherish forever.
