Intimate Micro Wedding on the Amalfi Coast: Pratiksha & Amit’s Fairy Tale

Pratiksha and Amit are a young couple living between India and Canada, while their families are based permanently in India. The grand celebrations were planned to take place in India, but for the most sacred and intimate part of their wedding — the religious ceremony and pre-wedding events — they chose Italy.

They had never been to Italy before, yet the myth and postcard-perfect beauty of this country captivated them, just as it does so many couples from around the world. Amit, the groom, wanted a truly recognizable landscape — something unmistakably Italian, something you could look at and immediately know where you were. And what could represent this vision better than the Amalfi Coast? With its breathtaking sea views, dramatic cliffs cascading into the water, bougainvillea in bloom, and fragrant lemon groves, it feels almost like a fairytale — and undeniably Amalfi. From the very beginning, this was our chosen destination.

The couple never traveled to Italy to see their wedding venue in person. Instead, we carefully scouted several properties and presented them through detailed video calls. It’s important to mention that this was a micro wedding — in fact, the smallest wedding we have ever organized: only 12 guests.

Pratiksha and Amit truly wanted an intimate celebration, with only their closest family members — parents, siblings — present. They envisioned a sacred, pure moment to be shared privately and preserved forever in their memories. With a wedding of this size, it naturally becomes a “wedding vacation.” Everyone stays together in the same villa, the spaces transform into event settings, and the entire experience feels like a shared holiday infused with celebration.

We selected several stunning villas overlooking the sea — historic and architecturally significant properties with refined interiors. The bride had very clear ideas about what she wanted, and we conducted a meticulous search to match her vision perfectly. One crucial element was the Hindu sunset ceremony. We carefully studied the sun’s position at each property to ensure the perfect setting for golden-hour rituals.

The final choice was a magnificent three-level villa that reflected the couple’s personality beautifully. Luxuriously furnished rooms, lush gardens, a swimming pool, panoramic terraces, and a lemon grove — everything one imagines when dreaming of the Amalfi Coast. The villa even had a few extra rooms, which allowed us to accommodate our coordinator, the private chef, and the Pandit comfortably.

Honoring Traditions: A Micro Wedding Rich in Cultural Rituals and Unforgettable Moments on the Amalfi Coast

Food was particularly important to the couple. Being accustomed to Indian cuisine, they requested authentic Indian meals, while also wishing to include Italian flavors. We arranged for a private Indian chef based in Italy, who delighted everyone with a perfect fusion of traditions. The cuisine was truly appreciated.

Despite the small size of the wedding, every essential element of a Hindu celebration was present. For the Haldi ceremony, we created a beautiful yellow backdrop by the pool, with the sea as a stunning background. As tradition dictates, everything was yellow and vibrant, and the couple joyfully covered each other in turmeric.

In the afternoon, on the highest terrace, we set up a Mehndi ceremony. Our trusted henna artist created intricate designs not only for the bride, but also for the guests — including the groom and his brother.

Meals were thoughtfully styled as well. With such an intimate group, a single long table allowed everyone to dine together. Lunch was served on a veranda adorned with greenery and overlooking the sea. Dinner took place in the villa’s lemon grove, under a pergola heavy with lemons — a magical setting. The color palette for that evening was fuchsia, and the space was decorated with fresh flowers and traditional Indian fuchsia garlands.

For the wedding day itself, the Mandap ceremony was held on the most prominent sea-view terrace. Our florist designed a stunning mandap with coral-colored fabrics, roses, and hydrangeas, richly decorated yet elegant.

A traditional dhol player led the small procession with music and joy — and even tied turbans for all the men.

The bride was prepared for each event by our trusted Italian makeup artist from the Amalfi Coast. She, along with the mothers and sister-in-law, looked radiant throughout the two days of celebrations. Our Pandit led the ceremony in a deeply intimate and heartfelt atmosphere.

The décor was exquisite, the food widely praised, and the overall mood relaxed and meaningful. For the final reception dinner, we set an elegant table on the lower terrace, decorated with lilac and pastel floral arrangements and illuminated by crystal candelabras. A string quartet played classical music, elevating the evening to an even more refined and emotional level.

The couple also had a photoshoot in iconic Amalfi, in front of its world-famous Duomo di Amalfi — a timeless symbol of the destination they had dreamed of.

This wedding was unusual for us — a new and beautiful experience — but organized, as always, with our methodical and heartfelt approach. The couple left us a wonderful review, and we are so grateful they experienced their intimate micro wedding on the Amalfi Coast in such a meaningful and unforgettable way.
