A Symphony in Red: from Sacred Vows by the Sea to Gorgeous Carnival Party

Vaani and Sorabh’s wedding was all about the color red. Red is a traditional color in Indian weddings, symbolizing prosperity and love, but it is also a symbol of passion in Western culture. Coming from England and being second-generation Indians, the couple blended both influences, incorporating beautiful red accents throughout their wedding day.

Of course, the bride wore a stunning red lehenga that stood out against the white-toned spaces of the seaside resort in Cilento. Her red dress caught everyone’s attention. Vaani got ready with the help of a talented local Italian makeup artist, who perfectly captured her vision of a natural bridal look. Naturally, Vaani’s mother was there to help her get dressed. They had a beautiful photoshoot amidst the sunlit greenery of the resort. Sorabh, on the other hand, wore a soft ivory-white outfit to contrast with Vaani’s attire.

The Mandap was entirely white, with green accents framing the breathtaking beach and the calm sea, which looked like a perfect painting behind the couple. The floral decorations included unique Varmala garlands made of gypsophila and small orchid flowers, red rose petals were chosen for the pheras to stand out against the white and complement Vaani’s dress.

Once ready, the groom met his family in the hotel lobby, and after a short pooja, they all made their way to the beach for the ceremony. For his baraat, Sorabh chose to arrive in a tuk-tuk—an homage to his adventurous trip across the Himalayas with his friends. We decorated the tuk-tuk with golden tassels to match the gold touches on his outfit.

Vaani’s entrance was equally special—she wanted the ocean as her backdrop while walking down the aisle. The ceremony was conducted by a Hindu priest based in Italy, with whom we frequently collaborate. It was a beautiful and deeply engaging ceremony, culminating in a spectacular display of colorful fireworks the moment they were pronounced husband and wife. It was magical, and the couple was overjoyed.

For their post-wedding photoshoot, Vaani and Sorabh visited the archaeological site of Paestum, capturing breathtaking images among its iconic ancient temples—a striking way to highlight the historical beauty of Italy.

The wedding lunch featured an exquisite Indian buffet, created in collaboration with local Indian chefs.

A Red Carnival Extravaganza: Celebrating Love with a Venetian-Inspired Seaside Wedding in Italy

For the evening reception, the couple chose a masquerade ball theme, which we absolutely loved. We designed a seating plan where each guest had a personalized mask waiting for them. The entire stationery set was also in theme, and the floral arrangements consisted solely of red roses and candles. With floating candles in water and additional candles in vases, the atmosphere was incredibly enchanting.

The focal point of the reception was the stunning three-tiered cake, adorned with a cascading arrangement of red roses, red petals, and, of course, masks. The couple had a romantic photoshoot on the beach, wearing Venetian masks, adding a touch of elegance and mystery to their seaside wedding in Italy.

As the guests enjoyed an aperitivo by the pool, indulging in delicious local delicacies, they donned their masks in anticipation of the couple’s grand entrance. When Vaani and Sorabh entered the reception hall, confetti cannons burst in celebration, making for a truly breathtaking moment.

And, of course, with Vaani being a dance instructor, their first dance was nothing short of perfection. They were the perfect couple—loving, kind, and full of joy. It was an absolute pleasure to plan their wedding and bring their dream to life. We received countless compliments and a heartfelt review from the couple, which you can find on our video page. We wish Vaani and Sorabh nothing but the best for their future together!
